James Alden "Jamie" Nunley

James Alden “Jamie” Nunley, Jr. age 43, was called home Monday, April 14, 2025.

Jamie was an all around good father, son, fiancé, brother, uncle and friend. He was rough around the edges but had a big heart and short fuse (which only lasted five minutes). He is well respected by everyone especially those he loved that he called “darlin.” He loved hard but worked harder and loved to stay busy. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, hitting golf balls, riding around listening to music, but most of all spending time with his family. No matter what, no matter where, he made time for the people in his life and never failed to show up or answer the phone. He was selfless, always making sure everyone was okay, giving the shirt off his back or even going without to make sure someone had what they needed. Everyone is so proud of Jamie and he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Today, Heaven is sweeter.

Jamie is survived by his fiancée, Amanda Carver of Marion, Va.; children, Sara Kate Nunley, Sydnee Kae Nunley both of Bluefield, Va., August and Skyler of Marion, Va.; parents, James and Patricia Nunley of Marion, Va.; big little brother, Zac Nunley (Samantha) of Rich Valley, Va.; mother of his children, Melissa Creasy of Bluefield, Va.; nieces and nephews, Zac Nunley, Jr., Waylon Nunley, Jessa Nunley, all of Rich Valley, Va.; a host of many special friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2025 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion Va. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Roger Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery, 10069 Crescent Road, Glade Spring, VA 24340.
