MARION, Va.: James Eddie “Broz” Roberts, age 62, died Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a hardworking man who loved his family and his country. James was an avid Bible reader, and when he wasn’t doing that he could be found on the back porch cleaning fish. He enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends. James will be missed very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard C. and Della Stevenson Roberts; brothers, Arlie Tex Roberts and Douglas Ward Roberts.
James is survived by his wife, Rita G. Wolfe Roberts; daughter, LeeAnn Nicole Roberts and fiancé, Blaine Hall all of Marion, Va.; sisters, Wanda Armstrong of Atkins, Va., Sylvia “Cricket” Rose of Marion, Va., Ina Sue Johnson and husband, Gordon of Seven Mile Ford, Va., Phyllis Arnold and husband, Larry of Rural Retreat, Va., and Nila James of Lorton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews; and a nephew named in his honor, James Stokas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Shawn Womack and Pastor James Walls officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
