Joe Buchanan

MARION, VIRGINIA: JOE MAC BUCHANAN, age 64, died Friday, August 25, 2006 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He attended Virginia Tech, worked at Industrial Welding, was a member of Marion Volunteer Fire Department and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marco B. and Florence B. Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie B. and Mona Buchanan and J. Stuart and Carolyn Buchanan all of Marion, Virginia; Two nieces, Candace Buchanan of Bristol, Tennessee and Kim Buchanan-King of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and One great-nephew, Ryan Stuart King of Highlands Ranch, Colorado also survive. The family would like to give a very special thank-you to Dr. Sam Vernon and the first floor staff of Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Graveside Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia where Masonic Rites will be conducted by Masonic Lodge #31 A.F. & A.M. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
