John Patrick Collins

WEYMOUTH, Mass.

John Patrick Collins, age 65, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Salem VA Medical Center.

The son of the late John F. and Elinor J. Knight Collins, Pat was a U.S. Army Veteran who was very hard working and had strong ethics. Pat loved the simple things in life, like playing cards and cribbage; and cheering on his favorite team, the New England Patriots. He enjoyed the ocean, boating, fishing, swimming and he loved to cook and take vacations to the casino. Pat’s number one love was always his family – including his dogs, Irish, Whiskey, Bailey and Mac; and his granddog, Lola. He was the best father, son, uncle, friend and an all-around great guy who will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Macnamara-Rich; sisters, Chrissy Lavaque and Alice Lavoie.

Pat is survived by his daughter, Michelle A. Collins; son, John F. Collins; brothers, Michael and William Collins; sisters, Mary Wadman, Francis Tolini and Katie Collins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
