JOHN H. "JOHNNY" SHUPE, age 70, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at home, surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Gail Shupe; parents, Joel and Mary Shupe.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan Hancock Shupe of Marion, Va.; two daughters, Pamela Sue Harris and husband, Steve, and Peggy Louise Shupe and husband, Chris Royer all of Marion, Va.; two sons, John Harrison Shupe Jr. and wife, Heather of Ceres, Va. and Travis Carter Shupe and wife, Lindsay of Marion, Va.; brothers, Mike Shupe and wife, Dorie, and Billy Ellison all of Ceres, Va.; brother-in-law, Bill Cregger of Wytheville, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Betty Shupe of Atkins, Va., and Donna Shupe of Marion, Va.; two aunts; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends; and special friends, Virginia Hutton and Keith Crabtree.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 23, 2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Steve Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Ceres, Va. with Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Marine Funeral Honor Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.
