Josephine Smith

MARION, VIRGINIA: JOSEPHINE B. SMITH, age 95, widow of Biram F. Smith, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 25, 2004 from her home in Marion, Virginia. She was born June 7, 1909 to the late Walter and Lina Brooks. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ed Greer, a grandson, David Greer and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Myrtle Greer of Marion, Virginia; one granddaughter, Regina Talbert and husband, Dale of Saltville, Virginia; one granddaughter-in-law, Pam Greer of Atkins, Virginia; one great-granddaughter, Mandi Vanhoozer and husband Will of Marion, Virginia; one great-great-grandson, Tommy Vanhoozer of Marion, Virginia; one step great-granddaughter, Stephanie Taylor and husband, Kevin of Saltville, Virginia; one step great-great-grandson, Kevin Jacob Cade Taylor of Saltville, Virginia; Several nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephews, Walt Dennison and wife Beulah, Bob Smith and wife, Geraldine, Ethel Louthen and husband Harold and Polly Street; special friends, Ruth Rosenbaum, Cissy Lyon, Sheila Warren and Angie Warren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Joe Powers officiating. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
