June Glass, age 71, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her home in Fries, Va.

June was a cracker jack who loved her family and friends. If she just met you, she loved you, if she didn’t like you, she would let you know and that was the firecracker part of her. Hard work didn’t scare her and downtime was always on time. Cooking, gardening, crafting and bowling made her happy. June had a lot of love in her life, the littles ones who called her Granny or Gran Gran, her number one fur baby, Patches and coffee every morning. For all who knew her and loved her, June’s heart of gold will be missed.

June is preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Hallie Combs; sons, Larry, Andrew “Andy ”Ashby; two brother and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughters Dreama Yonce and fiancé, David Burcham of Fries, Va., Crystal Yonce and husband, Porky of Fries, Va.; son, Jeff Ashby and wife, Rosie of Marion, Va., Howard Glass Jr. and fiancée, Nicole Nichols of Max Meadows, Va.; eight grandchildren, Kayla Webb, Kenny Yonce, Wiley Yonce Jr., Kendra Long, Miracle Barrett, Natasha Kell, Robert Kell, and Timmy Kell; two great-grandchildren, Mason Long and Lane Yonce; very special niece, Susan McCallister; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Betty Bear and Judy; and her fur baby Patches.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Eddie Roland officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain View Avenue, Rural Retreat, Va. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
