June Phipps

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: JUNE PHIPPS, age 77 died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in Heritage Hall, Tazewell, Virginia. She was born in Jefferson, North Carolina to the late Walter and Hattie Elliot Lewis. Mrs. Phipps was a member of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a good friend to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ike Phipps, Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Lewis of North Tazewell, Virginia; One son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kerry S. Walters and Dr. Kim Daubman of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; Two sisters, Virginia Weaver of West Jefferson, North Carolina and her family and Verna Taylor of Charlotte, North Carolina; and one grandchild, Jonah Walters. At Mrs. Phipps request her body was cremated and there will be no funeral service.
