Kayretha Adams Vanhoozer age 60, gained her angel wings & perfect Heavenly body, Sunday, August 4, 2024. 

Kayretha loved immensely and devoted her entire life being a mother to everyone. She was selfless in putting others before herself. It didn’t take much to make her contagious smile come through and she loved to make others laugh. She took a lot of pride in cooking for her family, especially at the holidays and was the heart of her home. Kayretha certainly didn’t mind to tell you what she was thinking and would whoop your tail if you messed with her or her family. Her spitfire, charismatic way leaves us with heavy hearts, but there is peace in knowing she has been reunited with her loved ones. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” & Evelyn “Tootsie” Adams; grandparents, Bonnie & Paige Adams, and Margaret Burchett; infant brother, Joseph Lee Adams. 

Kayretha is survived by her loving husband of almost 41 years, Dave Vanhoozer; sons, Bryan Vanhoozer and Jason Vanhoozer; sister, Erin Tessmer; brother, Bob Adams; beloved grandson, Blake Vanhoozer; several nieces & nephews & their families; sisters-in-law, Brenda Woods, Sandy Walls, Patsy Heath; special friend, Timmy Jones; and 4-legged furbaby, Zoey.

Funeral services at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel in Marion, Va. and burial at Resurrection Gardens in Atkins, Va. will be private, with Pastor Chuck Stout officiating.
