BRISTOL, Tenn.
Larry David Crusenberry, age 77, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home.
Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, papaw and friend. He didn’t say a lot, but he was a giving man. Larry was a wonderful cook, a skill he utilized during his Navy days; and if he thought you were hungry, he’d fix you a meal, or give you the shirt off his back. He was proud of his country, loved his Lord and his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the lights of his life. Mr. Crusenberry will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Marie Rouse Crusenberry; and parents, Leo and June Crusenberry.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Teena Counts and husband, Kevin of Bristol, Tenn.; son, Larry David Crusenberry, II and wife, Tessie of New Market, Tenn.; sisters, Karen Hicks of Jonesborough, Tenn., Aleta Crusenberry, Valerie Adams and husband, Doug, all of Pinehurst, Texas; brothers, Don Crusenberry and wife, Doris of Bristol, Tenn., Warren Lynn Crusenberry and wife, Sam of Bristol, Va., Johnny Crusenberry and wife, Judy, Kevin Crusenberry and wife, Susie all of Bristol, Tenn., three grandchildren, Casey, Rachael and Mathias; and several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to his Chemo-Nurse family at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va.
A private service will be officiated by Pastor Scott Price at a later time.
