SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: LARRY "CABBY" HARRIS, age 55, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was a beloved father, a member of the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department for several years, and a cab driver in Marion for over 23 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Harris, August 5, 1996; one son, Larry Andrew Harris, July 13, 2007; and one sister, Peggy Pruitt, April 1, 2005. He is survived by his girlfriend of 23 years, Rhonda Williams Harris; three daughters, Nancy Dale Armstrong of Saltville, Virginia, Kelley Brooke Williams and Kimberly Ann Williams both of Sugar Grove, Virginia; two sons James William Harris and wife, Lori of Saltville, Virginia and Kindal Wade Williams of Sugar Grove, Virginia; three step-daughters, Ginger Faye Quillen, Kathy Marie Pruitt, and Ester Bonnie Quillen all of Marion, Virginia; two step-sons, Zane Jeffery Quillen and Johnny Michael Quillen both of Marion, Virginia; one sister, Darlene Cress of Chilhowie, Virginia; two brothers, Johnny Harris of Atkins, Virginia and Mike "Petie" Harris of Chilhowie, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Lori Armstrong, Steven Armstrong, Michael Pakacki, Jennifer Armstrong, Timothy Harris, Carly Harris, Shayanna Armstrong, J.D. Cregger, Damien Webb Williams, and one on the way, Andrew Sage; several step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Slemp Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
