Larry Perkins age 69, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Larry was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and just standing around a campfire. Larry was born in Buchanan County and graduated from Council High School. Larry served in the United States Army and was a coal miner working for Consol Energy for 10 years. Larry had made lots of friends over the years and never met a stranger. He could get along with anyone and was straight forward telling you what he thought. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Vicey Perkins; sisters, Donna Jean Perkins (Infant), Katherine Horne and Karen Gibson; grandparents, Louisa and Rufus O’quinn.
Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years Patsy Perkins of Rural Retreat Va.; sons, Brett Perkins and James Aaron (Kathy Shupe) both of Rural Retreat, Va.; sisters, Easter Deel of Council, Va., Lourine Breeding (Billy) of Paintsville, Ky., Mary Breeding of Council, Va.; one special grandchild, Landon Aaron Perkins of Marion, Va.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5 until 6 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion VA 24354. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. with Blake Frazier officiating
