Linda Faye Griffey Cole age 71, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA.

Linda was a loving and caring mother, sister, maw-maw, nana, granny, aunt and friend. She worked as an assembly line worker with Merillat for 10 years. When she wasn’t working her favorite past time included crocheting, cooking her kids’ favorite meals (chicken casserole, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf and zucchini bread) and being a part of her motorcycle loving family. The world was a better place with her in it. Today, Heaven is sweeter. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Nina Griffey; sister, Betty Shupe.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Cole (Eric Scott Moore), Tamara Cole (Thomas Wyatt), Teresa Blackburn (Woody Blackburn); sons, Michael Umbarger(Cindy), Chris Cole (Christy Plumley); sister, Donna Lawrence (Darrel); brothers, Bill Griffey, Bobby Griffey, Clarence Griffey (Barbara), Herman Griffey(Kim), Tom Griffey (Dicey), Jessie Griffey (Faye); 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Mary Wyatt and Jamie Wyatt; fur baby, Harley Sinister Moore.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no public services.
