MARION, VIRGINIA: LINDA HAWKINS WIDNER, age 53, died Monday, May 02, 2005 in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Snake" Widner; her parents, Wiley and Laura Sexton Hawkins; three brothers, Dean Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, Roger "Block" Hawkins; and one sister, Evelyn Piehl. She is survived by three sisters, Ruth Barrineau and husband, Robbie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Wanda Ashby and husband, Gary of Chilhowie, Virginia; and Peggy Evans and husband, Newman of Marion, Virginia. Three brothers, Bill Hawkins of Asheville, North Carolina; Clay Hawkins and wife, Yvette of Clarksville, Tennessee; and Charles Hawkins and wife, Jean of Chilhowie, Virginia. Two very dear friends, Jack Wood of Marion, Virginia, and Sharon Eure of Chilhowie, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Joe Powers officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Cemetery, Adwolfe, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the services at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
