Lois Stamper Billings age 73, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at her home in Marion, Va.

 

Lois was born in 1950 to the late James and Eleanor Davidson. She was a natural caregiver and worked as a PCA taking care of many in our community. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, going to flea markets and yard sales, and collecting gnomes. She liked listening to music, with Elvis and Culture Club being two of her favorites. Above all, Lois loved her family – especially her grandchildren, and they will miss her caring and loving way.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Gene” Billings; grandson, Christopher Stiltner; great-grandson, Aiden Little.

 

Lois is survived by her daughters, Angela Harris (Johnny) of Saltville, Va., Susan Stiltner (William Havens) of Glade Spring, Va., Amy Buchanan of Marion, Va.; sons, Jerry Stamper, Jr. of Haysi, Va. and David Stamper (Jennifer) of Chilhowie, Va.; sister, Barbara Herzig (Tommy) of Front Royal, Va.; brother, Albert Wayne Davidson of Marion, Va.; 18 grandchildren, Brittany Hagy, Andy Harris, Austin Harris, Lindsay Stiltner, Brady Stiltner and Christian Stiltner, Jade Stamper, Nevaeh Stamper, Danielle Stamper, Shane Buchanan (Kelsey), Tommy Buchanan, Alexis Buchanan, Kayleigh Buchanan, Aiden Puckett, Austin Stamper, Amethyst Workman; 6 great-grandchildren, Noah, Willow, Eloise “Ellie”, Brooklyn, Hadley and Vincent; several nieces and nephews and their families; special friend, Janie George; and a host of many more friends.

Family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5 until 7 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 7 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion VA 24354. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Union Church Cemetery, 1445 Mount Pleasant Drive, Saltville VA 24370. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
