Lona Mullins

MARION, VIRGINIA: LONA GUY MULLINS, age 81, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Guy and John Mullins; and her son, June Guy. Lona retired from Southwest State Hospital after over twenty years of service. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Alan Woods of Wytheville, Virginia, Brenda and Wayne Sims of Rural Retreat, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Delores Guy of Marion, Virginia; three sisters, Dessie Stamper of Glade Spring, Virginia, Ethel Hayden of Wytheville, Virginia, Creola Sizemore of Atkins, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Joshua Powers, Serena Perkins, Brandi Gullion, Jessica Rudolph, Kimberly Woods, Jeremy Sims, Travis Sims, Megan Brown and Seth Guy; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will be held Thursday, March31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
