Louise Dolinger Burke age 96, passed away Monday, October 7,2024 at Emerald Gardens in Clearwater, Fla.

Louise graduated from Radford College and spent a year teaching high school in Bristol prior to marrying Roy and raising her children. She was a past member of First Methodist Church and a longtime member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Marion, VA. She enjoyed sewing, her rose garden, and walking while living in Marion. About 2007, she moved to Largo, Florida to be close to her daughters.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Roy H. Burke, Jr., and S. F. “Ted” Dillard; daughter, Ann Burke Higgins; granddaughter, Kimberly Pierce Davis; brother, John Robert Dolinger; and parents, W. Glenn and Bonnie Booth Dolinger.

Louise is survived by brothers, Earl Dolinger (Sue), and Max Dolinger (Deanna); daughter, Peggy Burke BeVille (Charles); step-daughter, Carol Moates (Thomas); grandchildren, Eric BeVille (Stacie), Donna Taylor (Josh), and Roy Higgins (Marc); five nieces and nephew; three great-grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, 4410 Lee Highway, Marion VA 24354.
