MARION, VIRGINIA: LOUISE FIELDS CATRON THOMAS, at the age of 75, the Lord took her home from her residence on Matson Drive, Wednesday, September 19, 2012; her services were no longer needed on earth.
She was born April 11, 1937 to the late Clayburn and Katherine Fields. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister to 12 siblings and a beautiful loving caregiver to the whole community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Steven Fields, Howard Fields and Russell Fields; three sisters, Lucille Turner, Shirley Armstrong and Carol Ann Dehart.
Louise is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Arthur and husband, Russell of Fort Lawn, South Carolina; one son, William Lee Catron; one step-daughter, Nancy Martin; one step-son, John H. Thomas, Jr., all of Marion, Virginia; two sisters, Roma Ann Martin of Bassett, Virginia and Mary Elizabeth Fields of North Carolina; four brothers Robert C. Fields of Marion, Virginia, Roger Lee Fields of Tennessee, Frank Fields and Lawrence Fields, both of Bassett, Virginia; two grandchildren, Charles Robert Lee Catron and Billie Jo Devins; three step-grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, Tonya Thomas and Heather Marie Adkins & husband, Ronnie; three great-grandchildren, Cierra, Ari'ana Louise and Cameron; one step-great-grandchild, Adriana. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel or at anytime at the home, 1253 Matson Drive, Marion Virginia.
