MARION, Va.
Mamie Lee Cornett James, age 96, died Friday, March 3, 2017 at Universal Health Care, Ramseur, NC.
Mamie was a warm and loving person who absolutely loved everybody. If she wasn’t talking about her family, she was talking about Lord. She wanted to make sure her family knew about Jesus and everyone who walked into her room. Mamie was a hard worker and loved all her children, even the meanest one! She lived through the Great Depression and knew the value of what’s important and what’s not. Mamie James was a wonderful lady and she will be missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Barron; son, Albert James; grandchildren, Frank James and Gale Ness; great-grandchildren, Leo Ness III and Amanda Wright.
Mamie is survived by her daughters, Janie Cox of Franklinville, NC and Vickey Morgan and husband JC of Seagrove, NC; sons, Robert James and wife Nelda of Highfalls, NC, Clifford James and David James of Sugar Grove, VA; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
