Margaret Walls

MARION, VIRGINIA: MARGARET C. WALLS, age 78, Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at her home in Marion, Virginia. She was born on July 3, 1928 in Smyth County to the late Melvin & Josephine Holman Combs and was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Bill Combs. She retired from Southwestern State Hospital after 32 years of service. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Walls Medley of Marion, Virginia, three sons, James William Walls of Salisbury, North Carolina, Carl Edward Walls, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Allen Ray Walls of Corpus Christi, Texas, two brothers, James Combs and wife Lavern, of Salem, Virginia, and Edward Combs and wife Lavon, of Star, Florida, sister-in-law Myrtle Walls Riddle, of Bristol, Virginia, brother-in-law, Robert Walls, of Kansas City, Kansas. Also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 19, 2007 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M with Pastor James H. Bangle and Pastor Ed Schaack officiating. Burial will follow in Attoway Cemetery, Marion Va. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
