EMORY, VIRGINIA: MARGUERITE KOPS HUBBLE, age 84, died Friday, March 22, 2013 in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia.
Marguerite truly lived for her family, friends, and pets. She contributed to this world through early childhood education, teaching Sunday School, administering the growth of the Meals on Wheels Program in Lynchburg, Virginia, and was a valuable employee of The Williams Home in Lynchburg as well. Marguerite was the past President of the Marion Junior Woman's Club and PTA, Cub Scout and Girl Scout Troop Leader, Board Member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and past Secretary of the Emory & Henry College Community Club. She was an active bridge player, had a soft heart for animals, and will be sadly missed by her rescue dog, Autumn. Marguerite will live in the hearts of her husband, daughter, family and dear friends forever.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Hubble of Emory, Virginia; one daughter, Dee H. Dolan of Powhatan, Virginia; two brothers, Robert Kops of Old Brookville, New York and Richard Kops of Cary, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews also survive and her beloved rescue dog, Autumn.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Jonathan Jonas officiating. A reception will follow at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Marion, Virginia. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
