Mariam Patton

MARION, VIRGINIA: MARIAM RUTH ROMANS PATTON, age 80, died Saturday, August 5, 2006 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Born the ninth child of the late Lemual and Elizabeth Romans, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers, one son-in-law and one grandson. She is survived by her husband, Gordon L. Patton of Marion, Virginia; Three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shelia and Fred Rouse of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, Martha Ann Anderson and Margaret and Bobby Harris all of Marion, Virginia; Four grandchildren, Donald Fred Rouse, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Tammy Michelle Jones and husband, Gordon, Matthew Allen Anderson and Stan Donavan; Five precious great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; One brother, Bennett Romans of Marion, Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, Atkins, Virginia with Rev. Eddie Beck officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
