Chilhowie, Va.
Marlin E. Goff, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 17, 2025 at Valley Healthcare Center in Chilhowie, Virginia.
Marlin enjoyed his life. He graduated from Harrisville High School in Harrisville, West Virginia - Class of 1959, where he was a state high school wrestling champion. He entered into the United States Marine Corp and then went to work as a Telephone Construction worker and cable splicer. Marlin worked for just about every major telephone company from Florida to Washington State. He enjoyed moving all over the country, he never had to stay in one place for too much time and he could miss the folks he liked and leave the ones he didn't. When Marlin wasn't working, he loved being with family or somewhere outdoors. He loved boating, fishing and hunting. Anything outside.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Jennings and Leoria Goff; an infant brother, Arlin and brother, Curtis "Curt" Goff.
Marlin is survived by his son, Marlin Goff of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Diane Stanley of Glennville, WV.; brother, Dennis Goff (Retha) of Piney Flats, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Jaclyn Goff and Willian Jacob "Jake" Goff; and several nieces and nephews.
