Martha Gullion

MARION, VIRGINIA: MARTHA JEAN POWELL GULLION, age 71, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her home in Marion. She was preceeded in death by her husband Sherman ?Dude? Gullion. Her father and mother, Ernest and Alice Greer Powell, two brothers, Harold and Everette Powell and a sister in law, Betty Powell. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Timothy Barr of Chilhowie, Virginia, and Pamela and Alan Cornett of Abingdon, Virginia; one son and daughter in law Kevin and Becky Gullion of Marion Virginia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Yolanda and Don Compton of Sarasota, Florida, Janet and Bill Greer of Marion, Virginia and Yvonne Powell of Marion, Virginia; brother-in-law and wife Dan and Margie Gullion of Pulaski, Virginia; sister-in-law Barbara Powell of Marion, Virginia, seven grandchildren, Jarrett Gullion, Colin Gullion, Tristian Barr, Dillon Barr, Kristen Cornett, Taylor Cornett, and Zachary Cornett. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
