MARION, VIRGINIA: MARVIN CREWEY, age 73, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 in Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. Born on July 27, 1930, he was the son of the late Robert Ray and Mazie Pearl Burchett Crewey. He was the owner of Crewey Paint and Decorating, Inc. and was a well known craftsman, specializing in Home Décor, painting, and finishing. He was the co-owner of Country Haven Assisted Living. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and special friend to everyone. Mr. Crewey was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Johnny and Robert Crewey and two sisters, Eleanor Ann Salter and Ovella Polansky. Mr. Crewey is survived by his wife, Sandra Horne Crewey of Marion, Virginia. Two sons, Marvin Michael Crewey of Marion, Virginnia, and Joseph Todd Crewey of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia. Two step-sons, Tim Horne of Marion, Virginia, and Jim Horne of Martinez, Georgia. Four sisters, Ruth Alley of Abingdon, Virginia; Kathleen Vaught of Shoshone, Idaho; Louise Horne and Mary Snyder both of Rural Retreat, Virginia. Eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews. Special dogs, Booty and Blackie. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Steve Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia, where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel
