MARION, VIRGINIA: MARVIN GLENN WARD, age 73, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Smyth County Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl V. and Okie Tilson Ward. He is survived by one son, Anthony Ward of Marion, Virginia; four sisters; Lorena Ward Tilson of Marion, Virginia, Mary Ward Ferguson of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Willena Ward Pruitt of Marion, Virginia and Martha Ward Perkins of Wytheville, Virginia; one brother, Harvey Lynn Ward of Marion, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Seaver-Brown Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mike Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Rowland Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
