MARION, VIRGINIA: MRS. MARY POE CALLAN, age 87, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Camet and Elizabeth Watson Poe; two sisters, Helen Wendowski and Georgia Etta Armstrong; and one brother, Harry Clifton Poe.
She is survived by her husband K. W. "Bill" Callan of Marion, Virginia; two daughters, Mary Charlotte Vinson of Cartersville, Georgia and Elizabeth Pemberton Sells and husband, Wiley of Knoxville, Tennessee; one son, Charles William Callan and wife, Connie of Richmond, Virginia; five grandchildren, William Todd Callan, Mia Christina Gilstrap and husband, Greg, Amy Elizabeth Vinson Morgan and husband, Kyle, Wiley Hayward Sells, Jr., and Lauren Elizabeth Sells; three great-grand children, Isabella Gilstrap, Elizabeth Morgan and Macland Morgan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Royal Oak Presbyterian Church with Reverend Alan Gray and Reverend Neville Mozingo officiating. Private burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver Brown Chapel.
