Mary Jane Clark Ratcliff

 Mary Jane “Janie” Clark Ratcliff age 66, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.

 Janie was one of a kind. She loved her family, friends and her many animals. Although Janie never had children of her own, she mothered many of her nieces and nephews. Janie enjoyed crafting and working in her flowers. She loved the Lord and read her Bible all the time. Janie had a big heart for others and enjoyed her time working at Valley Health Care Center. Janie was a caring lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel Jr. and Hazel Clark; two brothers Jerry and Ronnie Clark.

 Janie is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, James Neal Ratcliff; sisters, Barbara Ann Clark Dorn (John) of Bristol, Tenn. Connie Clark Huey of Marion, Va.; brothers, Bobby Clark of Marion, Va., Billy Joe Clark of Richmond, Va. and James Clark (Marie) of Fruitland Park, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and their families; dog, Liberty and cats, Alex, Midnight and Luna.

 The family will receive friends Friday, August 16, 2024 from 11 am until 12 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, Va. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Matt Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, 4410 Lee Highway, Marion Va 24354.
