Chilhowie, Va.
Mary Belle Moser, age 90, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
She was born August 1, 1926 in West Va. to the late George and Mary Taylor Baker. Mary never met a stranger – she’s been described as one of the kindest people you’d ever meet. She loved to cook for people and if you’d meet her at the fence, she may give you a cake. If you needed it and Mary had it, she’s give it to you. She loved her family and friends. Mary will be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Richard Moser, Jr.; grandson, Samuel Preston Moser; and several brothers and sisters.
Mary is survived by her sons, George Richard Moser and wife, Deborah of Hardy, Va., and Mickey Lee Moser and wife, Nadine of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, B.J. Culver of Parsonsburg, Md., and Betty Wise of Glade Spring, Va.; brothers, Donald F. Baker of Louisa, Va., and Bradley C. Baker of Mineral, Va.; grandchildren, Michelle Newbold of Wirtz, Va., and Kayla Moser of Brooklyn, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Thomas Newbold and Emma Grace Holdren; several nieces, nephews, good neighbors, and special friends, including Ron and Lucille Byrd and Bob and Marlene Reeves.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Roscoe Greer officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Rural Retreat, Va. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
