MARION, VIRGINIA: MARY CORNELIA "CORNIE" HARRIS WHITE, age 78, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at her home in Marion, Virginia. Born September 17, 1927 in Smyth County, Virginia to the late Henry and Marvella Harris, she was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson Memorial Nursing School, Roanoke, Virginia, and was a retired R.N. at the Southwestern State Hospital. She was a member of the Stone Memorial Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband; Jesse A. White. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey White and wife, Brenda of Florence, Kentucky and Tim White and wife, Vickie of Salem, Virginia; Five grandchildren, Kristen, Jacqui, Melissa, Starr and Amanda; and one great-grandchild. One brother, James Harris and wife, Lois of Gate City, Tennessee; Three sisters, Elizabeth Heath of Chilhowie, Virginia, Hattie Thompson of Gallatin, Tennessee; and Roberta Lee of Saltville, Virginia; Two sisters-in-law, Peggy Conner and Anita White both of Marion, Virginia; and One brother-in-law, Robert L. White of Marion, Virginia also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. William T. Wing, III officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
