Maude Rutherford

MARION, VIRGINIA: MAUDE WATKINS RUTHERFORD, age 83, died Saturday, January 14, 2012. She worked at Bata Shoe Co at Belcamp Maryland, Freeman and Freeman in Roanoke and done waitress work in Jacksonville, Florida. Also worked for U.S.I. and Mr. Casual at Troutdale, Virginia. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Claude (Bill) Rutherford Sr., one granddaughter Aubrey Rutherford, her parents Arthur and Ida Long Watkins, four sisters, Edith Johnson, Pauline Rivers, Blanch Montgomery, and Thelma Watkins, seven brothers, Howard, Edward, Robert, Carl, Bruce, Hunter, and Charlie. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law; William C Rutherford Jr. and David and Kathy Rutherford all of Sugar Grove, Virginia; two daughters, Carlon Mozelle Hutton of Princeton, West Virginia and Dorothy Shortt of Sugar Grove, Virginia; six granddaughters, Ladonna Darnell, Kristy Roundy, Brandy Hudnall, Riana Rutherford, Charity Freeman, and Hanna Rutherford; two great-granddaughters, Cheyenne Darnell and Elena Freeman; four great-grandsons, Tyler Marinus, Tanner Roundy, Preston Roundy, and Richard Freeman; one sister, Hattie Privett and lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sugar Grove Life Saving Crew, c/o Carol Choate, P.O.
