Michael Shayne Horne, age 52, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025.  

Shayne enjoyed his profession as Master Mechanic at Dutch Miller Nissan in Wytheville, Va. His work family was very special to him. He loved fishing & spending time in nature with his best friends, Frankie, River & Isaboo. Shayne always had a smile & never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew & loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Muncy & Lois Testerman of Marion, Va. & Samuel Roy & Carolyn Horne of Sugar Grove, Va.; aunt, Sharon Testerman Gravely of Marion, Va.; uncle, Samuel Michael Horne, Sr.; cousins, Jessica Gravely Roberts & Samuel Michael Horne, Jr. both of Marion, Va.

Shayne is survived by his mother, Linda Testerman Horne of Marion, Va.; father, James Franklin Horne of Sugar Grove, Va.; aunts & uncles, Andrew & Barbara Dempsey, William A. Gravely, all of Marion, Va., Dennis & Marilynn Cook of Va., Susan Lafon of Roanoke, Va., Linda B. Horne of Seven Mile Ford, Va.; cousin, Bucky & Farrie Gravely of Marion, Va; many extended family members & special friends to include, Rick & Donna Hampton, Richard Williams, Dos & Gayle Santos, Ashley Sparks, Vernon Sparks, Mark Tibbs, Bob & Heidi Lucas as well as a host of many others & his special fur babies, Frankie, River & Isaboo.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5 until 6:30 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, Va. Funeral services will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Reverend Bob Surber officiating.
