ROANOKE, Va.
Mildred Jeanine Eastridge, age 79, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at Friendship Health & Rehab, Roanoke, Va.
Mildred was a loving, caring and "spit fire" of a lady. If you ran into Mildred you'd be sure to hear "Well I've Never"! She was a famous for her homemade candy at Christmas, her grandchildren were allowed to be her "sugar shifters". Mildred was an unbelievable cook, people loved her biscuits and she never knew how to "downsize" a meal. The love of her life was her husband Dale, who passed away in 2015. Mildred loved her family and her four-legged friend, Javon. Granny will be missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Eastridge; her brother, Buddy Anderson; sister, Leeneal Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Jennings and husband William of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren, Samantha Lester and husband William of Roanoke, Va., Randy Terry and wife Amy of Fredricksburg, Va., Jermaine Crockett fo Johnson City, Tn.; Sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; ten sisters; four brothers; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Billy Akers and Pam Cochran.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until the time of service.
