Mildred Parsons

MARION, VIRGINIA: MILDRED LOUISE LOWE PARSONS, age 84, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was born in Saltville, Virginia on April 4, 1924 to the late Gertrude Elmore Lowe and Samuel Clinton Lowe. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Edward Clay Parsons; her sister, Virginia Lowe Clay; and her brother, Samuel C. Lowe, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Henrietta Parsons Dunford of Marion, Virginia; grandson, Dale Edward Dunford of Marion, Virginia; brother, Thomas W. Lowe and his wife Alice of Saltville, Virginia; Sisters-in-law, Betty Crewey Lowe of Marion, Virginia, Charlot Parsons Berry of Wytheville, Virginia; Brother-in-law, Robert P. Parsons and wife Audrey of Marion, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lambert officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
