MARION, VIRGINIA: PAGE G. BLEVINS age 80, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Carrington Place at Wytheville, Virginia. He was born in Smyth County to the Late Felix B. and Lala Buchanan Blevins. Mr. Blevins was a WWII US Navy veteran and a retired route salesman from Kern's Bakery after 36 years . He was known to his many friends as the "Bread Man". He was a Member of Tates Chapel United Methodist Church and was an avid fisherman. A loving father and husband, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vilma Louise in 2003. He is survived by two sons, Ron Blevins and wife, Sandy of Wytheville, Virginia and Anthony Blevins and wife, Judy of Charlotte, North Carolina; two daughters, Brenda Funk and husband, Charlie and Sheilah Sawyers and husband, Arthur, all of Marion, Virginia; three sisters Shirley Aker of Marion, Virginia, Betty Sauls of Kingsport, Tennessee and Polly Gullion of Fayetteville, North Carolina; nine brothers, Port Blevins of Marion, Virgina, Harvey Blevins of Mt. Perry, Ohio, Clyde Blevins of Marion, Virginia, Myrl D. Blevins of Marion, Virginia, Doug Blevins of Newark, Ohio, Dwight Blevins and Lewis Blevins both of Pataskald, Ohio, Garland Blevins of Abingdon, Virginia and Mason Blevins of Menedia, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Amy Neitch of Eldersburg, Maryland, Mike Funk of Marion, Virginia, Sarah Plummer of Wytheville, Virginia, Tina Blevins of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Audra Blevins of Wytheville, Virginia, Elizabeth Blevins and Emily Blevins both of Charlotte, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren, Charlie Funk and Kayla Mabe, both of Marion, Virginia, Olivia Neitch and Abby Neitch both of Eldersburg, Maryland and Kamani Plummer of Wytheville, Virginia. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo, Rev. Jeff Lambert, and Rev. David Neitch officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Marion, Virginia where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 246, Abingdon, Virginia 24212.
