Patricia "Pat" A. Jones

MARION, Va.

Patricia “Pat” A. Jones, age 93, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her home.

Pat was feisty, fun loving, and a favorite of the community. She loved her family and was always encouraging to everyone. Pat was a faithful and long-time member of Marion Baptist Church – this was her family of heart. She also loved the friendships made in her Bridge Club. There was a lot of wonderful packed into her small frame. Pat left her mark on many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Annie Morgan; sisters, Dorothy Haines, Helen Logan, Beulah Sherman; and two loving husbands, Clarence Robert “Bud” Fry and Robert “Bob” E. Jones, Jr.; son, Allan D. Jones; grandson, Mark Hemphill Mason Fry; daughter-in-law, Annette Mason Fry; and mother-in-law Laura F. Jones.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Vicki Jones Donnelly and significant other, Richard E. Hooker of Abingdon, Va.; sons, Robert “Rob” Fry of Augusta, Ga., Brad Fry of Marion, Va., and Robert Gregory Jones of Bristol, Va.; sister, Anna Jean Smith of Rehoboth Beach, Dela.; nine grandchildren, Christy, Aaron, Eric, Mark, Morgan, Lindsey, Brady, Chaz and Alexa; one great-grandchild, Julian; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Sandy Dennison; and loving companion, Banjo.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 1 until 3 p.m. at Marion Baptist Church, 1258 North Main Street, Marion, Va. 24354. Pat’s Celebration of Life will begin at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. Charles Stewart officiating. Burial will be private.
