ATKINS, Va.: PATRICK “PAT” K. HASH, age 59, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
Pat worked with Royal Mouldings for 36 years. He was a wonderful son, brother and husband. He was the SCA Class President of the MSHS Class of 1974. Pat graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Agriculture. He loved to farm, fish, golf, to be at the beach, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt. But his most favorite place to be was on his farm or at the house with his babies, Lacy, Bayja, Talley and Fala – his dogs; and his cats, Sky and Moonie. Pat could be found every year ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, and on main street cooking chili. He always enjoyed apple butter making with his family. It was people, mostly family and friends that Pat enjoyed. There are not many people that did not know him or that Pat did not know. Pat Hash will be a missed man by many.
He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas K. Hash; father, Charles V. Hash; and step-grandmother, Virginia M. Williams.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Tammy S. Hash of Atkins, Va.; mother, Jean W. Hash of Atkins, Va., Barbara J. Moore and husband, Dicky of Gloucester, Va.; brothers, Doug Hash and wife, Vicky of Atkins, Va. and Bobby Hash of Richmond, Va.; several nieces, nephews and many family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Harry Howe officiating.
