MARION, VIRGINIA: PEARL CREWEY POSTON, age 93, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the home of Earl and Nancy Farris in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late James and Virginia Richardson and is the last member of her family. She was a charter member of the Grove Baptist Church in Marion, Virginia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poston was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Crewey, her second husband, Charlie Poston, and her oldest son, Claude Crewey. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Edith and Walter Farris and Louise Taylor all of Marion, Virginia, and Nancy and Earl Farris of Kingsport, Tennessee. Two sons, Marvin Crewey and David Crewey both of Marion, Virginia. One daughter-in-law, Melissa Crewey of Marion, Virginia. Two special friends, Maxine Crewey and Glenna Crewey both of Marion, Virginia. Twenty-two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Kyle French officiating. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
