Peggy Gardner Mullins

Bristol, Virginia 

Peggy Gardner Mullins age 92 passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at her home. 

 Peggy loved life, and she had hers in order. Faith, family and friends were the important things. Peggy and Raymond were high school sweet hearts, married 73 years sharing all the ups and downs of life. Her career as a teacher was the perfect way for Peggy to share her love of life with her students and co-workers. She was an excellent story-teller and enjoyed telling you about her younger days and how she grew up. Peggy was a talented seamstress, and loved to crochet. She loved being in the kitchen cooking and loved it even more when the family was gathered around with her. She was the “Hostess of House” and loved every minute of it. Peggy knew the Lord and had her life right with him. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and her time with them and her children, just talking and being together were her best blessings. 

 She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Mullins; two grandchildren, Josh Mullins and Jeremy Gregg.

 Peggy is survived by her husband, Raymond W. Mullins of Bristol, Va.; daughter, Gwen Gregg (Michael) of Azle, Tx.; son, Randy Mullins of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Donnie Gardner of Norton, Va.; six grandchildren, Jamie, Randall, Benjamin, Brianne, Zachary, and Ashley; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families. 

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 2 p.m. at East End Baptist Church, 52 Pendergrass Road, Bristol, Virginia 24201.
