Phyllis Clark Anderson Age 82, born in Takoma Park MD on April 2, 1941 passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Debora Ann Farmer; her parents, Clayton H. and Irene E. Clark; and her husband, Clifton Anderson.
A kind and generous soul, Phyllis never met a stranger and went out of her way to help others in need. She retired from the Blue Ridge Job Corps Center in 2009 after 33 years of service. She always took pride in being a mentor for the youth and cherished her lifelong friendships with coworkers. After retirement she enjoyed spending more time outdoors and especially loved tending to her flower gardens.
She is survived by her constant companion, Abby Girl, the cat; daughters and husbands, Karen and Jim Stein of Alexandria, Va.; Sharon and Dean Bullins of Marion, Va.; grandchildren, Joshua and Kaila Stein of Washington D.C.; step-grandchildren, Claire Richardson of Staunton, Va. and Hunter Anderson of Marion, Va; sister and nephew, Joyce and Stephen Flick of Rockville, MD.; several cousins; close friend Janet Atkins.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at Frazier’s Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Barbara Doyle officiating. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service.
