Phyllis Ann Barker Berry

CHILHOWIE, Va. Phyllis Ann Barker Berry, age 63, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her home. She was born September 25, 1953 in Marion, to the late William "Bill" and Bonnie Ella Murray Barker. Phyllis was a member of Chilhowie Christian Church. She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers. Above all she was a loving wife, and friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Dennis Barker. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 17 years, Richard Keith Berry of Chilhowie, Va.; step-daughter, Kelly Berry Stevens and husband George of Pocomoke City, Md.; sister-in-law, Golda Barker of Marion, Va.; five grandchildren; two nieces, Christy Bise and husband, Danny and their daughter, Abby, all of Marion, Va., Sherry Wolfe of Staunton, Va.; aunt, Marlene Murray of Marion, Va.; cousin, Tammy Murray Harrison and her son, Trevor Richardson, both of Marion, Va.; and special friends, Sandy Counts Williams, Dixie Olinger Sheets, and Gail Vernon. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Frank Branson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
