MARION, VIRGINIA: RALPH DAVIS, JR. age 89, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his home in Marion, Virginia. As an engineer Ralph was involved with atomic bomb testing and the designing and production of rocket boosters for NASA space shuttles. He also wrote formulas for the production of geodesic domes and was a consultant with Lockheed Skunk Works. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jane Davis. Ralph is survived by one daughter, Sue Davis and husband, Marty Lodawer of Santa Clarita, California; two sons, Ralph Davis III, and wife, Pam Atkins Davis and Craig Davis, all of Marion, Virginia; one brother, Wayne Davis of Wentzville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Desiree Davis, Brandy Nichols and husband, Michael, Michael Craig Davis and Rachel Michelle Skouby Davis all of Marion, Virginia; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Reverend Mark Totten officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Davis Family.
