Ralph “Pichuli” Placencia Jr. , age 87, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Ralph, or better known to many as “Pichuli” was an extraordinary man. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and friend. Ralph was loved by everyone and loved to be driving on the road. Mr. Placencia loved his country and made many contributions in the US Air Force, after graduating from Key West High School. He received the purple heart and enjoyed his time with the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. Ralph also had a hand in building the Sears Tower. When people like Pichuli leave their mark in the world, their presence is surely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Estrella Placencia; three sisters, Teresa Jeffrey, Marvelene “Jugi” Grassi, and Juanita “Juana” Placencia; and brother, Antonio “Big Boy” Placencia.
Pichuli is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Frances O'Conner of Atkins, Va two daughters, Star Sexton and husband, T.D. of Atkins Va, and Sandra Dreibelbis and husband, Scott of Deland, FL; Son, Ralph Placencia III and wife, Laura of Winter Garden, FL; two sisters, Starr “ Tati” Norris, and Malvina Medina both of Key West, FL; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will happen at a later date in Key West Florida.
