Raymond Gene Hardin, 60, of Saltville, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his daughter's home surrounded by his family.
Born August 8, 1955 in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Lester Clement and Annie Ruth (Dillow) Hardin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Wesley Hardin. Raymond was employed as an over-the-road truck driver who loved to play bingo, watch wrestling and westerns, and love to spend time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Vicki Monahan Hardin; two sons, Daniel Hardin and wife, Ashley of Saltville, and James Smith of Wytheville; two daughters, Gwen May and husband, Tony of Saltville, and Melissa Armstrong and fiancé, Jeffery Gates; two sisters, Nancy Bowles of Bland, and Janet Bowles of Lexington; two brothers, Richard Hardin of Meadowview, and Ronald Hardin of Marion; step-children, Cynthia McGrady, Richard Bowman, Kyle Bowman, and Daphne Gearhart; 22 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel in Marion, with a short visitation to follow. Flowers may be sent to the Seaver Brown Funeral Home, Marion.
