 Reba Catron Bridges age 90, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie, Va.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ed Bridges; parents, Charles Catron Sr. and Verna Cedella Cornett Catron; sisters, Frances Funk, Pauline Bush, Virginia Mason; brothers, James Catron and Clarence “Scrap Iron” Catron.

 Reba is survived by two sons, Darrell Bridges and wife, Patty of Atkins, Va. and Mike Bridges and special friend, Bev Wymer of Marion, Va.; sister, Imogene Duncan of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Andrew Bridges, Logan Bridges and Hannah Bridges all of Atkins, Va.; several nieces and nephews and their families. 

 Special thank you to the staffs of PACE and Valley Health Care Center; caregivers, Logan Bridges, Brooklyn Byrd, Valarie Roop and Sandy Roop. 

 Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1p.m. at Wassum Cemetery, Atkins, Va. with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. 

 In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, c/o Treasurer, 132 Churchland Drive, Atkins, VA 24311.
