SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: RICHARD GUY PARKS, age 49, died at his home Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Marion, Virginia. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was saved and baptized. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Ellis Parks. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Pauline Parks of Sugar Grove, Virginia; his wife, Vonnie C. Parks of Marion, Virginia; one daughter, Brittany Sizemore of Chilhowie, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Shawna Parks of Marion, Virginia; one sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Danny Cress of Marion, Virginia; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Debra Parks of Atkins, Virginia, Tony and Shelia Parks of Marion, Virginia, Tim and Missy Parks of Chilhowie, Virginia; five grandchildren, Austin Parks, Dustin Parks, Alexis and Casey Sizemore and Lucas Parks; special friends, Laurie and Charles Hester of Marion, Virginia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Larry Smith, Preacher Andy Blevins and Reverend Ralph Surber officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Comers Creek Cemetery in Grayson County, Virginia.
