Ricky Carter Woosley Sr., age  71, passed away Thursday June 10, 2021 at his home in  Roanoke, Va.

Ricky was a loving husband, proud father and Grandpaw Woosley. He was a strong man and a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy where he served overseas on two occasions. He earned several accommodations among them was the National Defense Metal. His love for family and country will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Woosley; wife, Sharon K. Woosley.

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Miranda Dawn Woosley, of Roanoke, Va., sons, Ricky Woolsey Jr. and wife, Shannon of Tarlton, Ohio, Carl Woosley and wife, Angel of Jefferson City, Tenn., half-sister, Phyllis; brother, Gary Wayne Woosley and wife, Anita of Texas; three grandchildren, Mara, Coltyn and Hillard.

 Private burial will be at sea under the care of the United States Navy.
