Robert Johnson

TROUTDALE, VIRGINIA: ROBERT VOHN JOHNSON, age 80, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at his home in Troutdale, Virginia. He was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Isabel Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Linda Johnson of Chilhowie, Virginia; David and Ruby Johnson and Maurice Johnson all of Troutdale, Virginia. One daughter, Freda Odette Johnson of Alexandria, Virginia. Eleven grandchildren, Teresa Barker, Sandra Tiller, Melissa DeBord, Stanley Johnson, Robert Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Byron Johnson, Michelle McDonald, Angela Reedy, Brandon Johnson, and Shane Blevins. Eighteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Troutdale, Virginia, with Pastor Jerry Fritz and Rev. Darrell Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Valley Cemetery, Troutdale, Virginia, where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion Manor V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
