Roy A. Tilson, Jr. age 67, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Ballad Hospice House, Bristol, Tenn. 

Roy was retired from Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute after 28 years of dedicated service as a CNA. He loved his Lord, and being outdoors – especially when it included fishing and hunting. Roy loved his hamburgers and hotdogs and considered himself quite the connoisseur of both. He was an avid football fan and cheered his Green Bay Packers on every game. Roy left us to walk Heaven’s streets with his beloved wife, and his sweet, fun nature will be missed.  

He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life for 43 years, Teresa Blevins Tilson; parents, Roy Tilson Sr. and Patricia B. Tilson. 

Roy is survived by his sister, Tammy Tilson of Seven Mile Ford, Va.; brothers, Tim Tilson (Jennifer) and Steven Tilson (Lois) all of Atkins, Va.; godson, Nolan Moser; nieces and nephews, Hannah Craver (Logan), Gabriel Daugherty (Madison), Matthew Blevins (Becky), Sean O’Connor (Arianna Arconati), Samantha Frye and family; special great nephew Colter Craver; puppy dog, Scruffy; special friends, Jacob Hall and Teddy Hall; a host of special friends. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, Va. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mark Totten and Pastor Bobby Endicott officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Old Glade Baptist Cemetery, Forest Hills Drive, Glade Spring, Va. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.
