Sandra Welch-Ward

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: SANDRA GAIL WELCH-WARD, age 58, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her home in Atkins. She was born December 1, 1956 in Maryland to the late Hobart "Gale" and Clara Kimberling Welch. Sandra was a loving wife, mother and sister. She cared deeply for her family, and for Sandra her family included five "precious babies" Athena, Bandit, Hercules, Rascal and Bubba, her four legged children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Foster; sister, Bonnie Marie McCatherine; and brother, Hobart James Welch. Sandra is survived by her husband of 40 years, Larry Eugene Ward of Atkins, Virginia; one son, Eugene Robert Ward; one adopted son, Curtis Nealon both of Maryland; one sister, Teresa "Terri" Welch; one brother, Danny Welch and wife, Edith, all of Atkins, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Welch; two grandchildren; three special cousins, Virginia, Frances and Linda; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
